Renowned WWE wrestler John Cena took to his official Instagram account and paid a tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput who died after committing suicide in his Bandra home this Sunday. Sushant was 34 years old.
John shared a black-and-white pic of Sushant but didn’t caption it. Along with John, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan too penned a tweet alongside a selfie with Sushant and wrote,
“He loved me so much…I will miss him so much. His energy, enthusiasm, and his full happy smile. May Allah bless his soul and my condolences to his near and dear ones. This is extremely sad….and so shocking!!”
A lot of Bollywood celebs like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Sonu Sood, among many others, too expressed grief on the Sushant’s untimely demise. For the unaware, Sushant was very close to his mother and his last Instagram post was a tribute to her.
When Sushant’s film, ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story‘ was about to be released, the actor had told DNA in an interview,
“I wish she was alive to see me succeed in life. I am sure she would have been really happy and proud of me. And maybe I would have been a different person than I am now. The way I looked at things then and now, they are very different and I cannot go back to doing that. It’s unfortunate. But everything that used to excite me, doesn’t excite me that much now. I don’t know why. No relationship, no success, absolutely nothing… If she was alive, probably it wouldn’t concern her, but just because something has changed inside me, everything has become so insipid. It takes a lot out of me to force myself to get overly excited about things and probably this is the reason why I like acting so much. Because it helps me get away from myself.”
Sushant’s upcoming flick: Dil Bechara’s release was planned for last month, but it was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
