Vishwaroopam 2 Review: Kamal Haasan Dissapoints His Fans This Time

Recently the film ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ has been released on the big screen which involves the superstar of South Indian cinema, Kamal Haasan. Along with Kamal Haasan, the film features Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Shekhar Kapur, Rahul Bose, Anant Mahadevan, Waheeda Rehman and Jaideep Ahlawat. The film has been directed by Kamal Haasan only but the film fails to create its impact on the big screen and received a lot of criticism as well by the cinema fans. The ratings have also been low and it was not something which was expected by this talented superstar.

Vishwaroopam 2 Review Kamal Hasaan The plot of the film is completely unorganised and the film turns out to be a total mess. The first half is surely disappointing and the second half is even more disappointing. In the film, Kamal Haasan plays the role of an agent who prevents a bomb attack in New York City and then he also follows and tracks a terrorist to India. His performance wasn’t up to the expectations of the fans and his actions would going to irritate you this time. The film was just some three hours of chaos and it fails to create its magic on the big screens like the first part did.

The film starts with Vis (Kamal) sitting on a plane surrounded by two lovely ladies. In this scene, one was his wife and the other lady was just a flirtatious woman and the scene would make you think what the f***k is just happening. The scene was completely senseless and you won’t be able to figure out what the three of them were trying to do. The plot is very unorganised and just hopping here and there around the world including India, Afghanistan and US. This thing would really going to trouble you throughoiut the film and you will just wonder why the f***k I’m wasting my time watching these time zone changes.

Jeremiah looks gorgeous in the film and she also becomes a part of some really hilarious scenes. However, some of the parts of the film also contains some awesome spy thrillers with elements of action and drama. A lot of action is there in the film and you would see missiles and grenades here and there. At some points, you would also try to figure out what the f***k is happening but still don’t worry because you’ll come to some conclusion. There is alot of use of arms, helicopters, grenades and missiles in the scenes which is to save the capital of India.

The good part in the film was Waheeda Rahman’s acting which won the hearts of many audiences. Waheeda Rehman acts as an old women who struggles with the disease of Alzheimer’s in which sometimes a person forgets about his present. Her acting has been really appreciated by the Bollywood fans and she was a treat to watch on the big screens. Her acting immediately brings some life to this shitty unorganised plot.

However, the film also involves some good dialogues which were truly being loved by the fans and brings a little more weight to the movie. There were some amazing dialogues like from Rahul Bose who appears as a guy who was from Al Qaeda and says, ‘Yahaan gadaaron ko takht nahin taboot diya jaata hai’ and also Kamal Haasan who plays the role of a RAW agent delivers some awesome lines like, ‘Mai mazhab nahin mulk ke liye khoon bahaata hoon’. This dialogue also received immense appreciation by the fans and was really loved by the audiences.

Talking about the ratings of this film ogf Kamal Haasan, it received 2.5/5 stars from Times oof India, 1.5/5 stars from The Indian Express and 7.3/10 from IMBD. The sequel of Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam has not been a success like the last time and it also started slow at the box office collections. This film ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ of Kamal Haasan has been a flop and has disappointed many of his fans this time.
