Vicky Kaushal is relatively new to the Hindi film industry, but that didn’t stop this talented actor from earning a place for himself. He has had a steady climb, delivering one amazing performance after another, and it looks like there’s no stopping to this journey of his. So we all are elated at him winning the National Film Award under the Best Actor category for his film, Uri: The Surgical Strike. Vicky too, is overjoyed by this win of his, and he shared these feelings of his with his fans, by penning a touching note. Have a look below to see his words,

“For my work to be recognised by the National Film Awards jury, is a huge moment for me and my family,” he added.
Vicky didn’t stop at this and went on to thank the jury members of National Film Awards Committee, by writing, “Words might fall short to describe what I am feeling right now. I wish to thank each and every member of the jury committee for finding me worthy of the prestigious Best Actor Award for my work in Uri- The Surgical Strike. I am also very happy to be sharing this award with someone whom I admire, both as a person and as an actor. Congratulations brother.”
Vicky is sharing this award with Article 15 male lead, Ayushmann Khurrana. Ayushmann got this award for his film: AndhaDhun.
Talking about Uri: The Surgical Strike, this flick is based on real life incidents that happened back in 2016. When Indian Army conducted surgical strikes in PoK (Pak Occupied Kashmir) to get rid of the launch pads used by Pakistan to carry out infiltration and conduct terrorist strikes inside J&K and in various metros in other Indian states.
This flick has received four National Awards this year. Helmed by Aditya Dhar, who received the award for Best Director. Uri has been the second highest grossing film of 2019 till date.
