TV Serials Inspired By Bollywood Films:
Very often you will come across TV Serials that are inspired by Bollywood movies. Maybe it’s because of the lack of content, or the makers of the show are too impressed with the script that they plan to convert it into a TV serial. Just like their Bollywood versions, these serials become famous, and in some cases, people end up loving these serials. In this article, we have listed some TV shows that are inspired by Bollywood films.
1. Badho Bahu
TV serial Bado Bahu stars reality-show king Prince Narula and Rytasha Rathore as protagonists. This show is similar to the Bollywood film Dun Lagake Haisha that feature Ayushman Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar as mean leads. This film won a National award for the best feature, so naturally, people loved the movie, and they even loved the television version of it. Not only the story, but even the poster of the show is also pretty similar to the actual poster of the film.
2. Dil Se Dil Tak
This show features the three most famous personalities of the television industry, Rashmi Desai, Siddharth Shukla, and Jasmin Basin. This TV show is inspired by the Bollywood film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke. Bigg Boss 14 winner Sidharth Shukla plays the role of Salman Khan, Rashmi Desai plays the role of Rani Mukerji, and Jasmin Basin plays the role of Preity Zinta. Fans loved the television version of this film so much that these three actors became quite famous. Actor Jasmin was appreciated for her performance.
3. Love You Zindagi
Kareen Kapoor and Shahid Kapur starer Jab We met inspired Love You Zindagi. Bigg Boss 14 contestant Pavitra Punia played the role of Geet, and television fame Sidharth Shukla was seen playing Shahid Kapur’s character. Unfortunately, the serial did not grab enough eyeballs because of its resemblance to the cult film.
4. Naagin 3
Karishma Tanna starrer Naagin 3 was based on the Bollywood film Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahaani. If you have seen this film then you would agree that converting this movie into a TV serial is not a wise decision, but the makers thought otherwise, and they were right because this show is beating every other serial when it comes to TRP. Maybe what fails in Bollywood works on television?
5. Peshwa Bajirao
When this show was new, people thought that it’s a history show that revolves around Bajirao’s childhood. But these makers crushed our expectations because just after a few days, people understood that the show will feature Bajirao and Mastani as protagonists of the show. Just like the movie, even the show focuses more on Bajirao’s love life than his achievements and childhood.
6. Jodha Akbar
TV Serial Jodha Akbar is a ditto copy of a Bollywood movie with the same name. Can you even imagine someone else playing Jodha other than Aishwarya rai? Ash’s grace and mesmerizing beauty perfectly complemented each other and gave birth to on-screen Jodha from whom we couldn’t take our eyes off. But the serial featuring Paridhi Sharma and Rajat Tokas failed to give us those chills and pleasure.
