Marriage is like the highlight of your life. In India marriage is not only between people, but even their families are involved and united. Where some people are fascinated by extravagant weddings of Bollywood couples, some do not believe in what the entertainment industry does, and we don’t blame them. Celebrities like Deepika-Ranveer, Anushka Virat may be madly in love with each other, but the other side of the entertainment industry shows fake marriages and relationships on television for money and TRP. In this article, we have listed below couples who faked their relationships or marriages to come into the limelight.
1. Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu
Recently, the marriage photos of Jasleen and singer Anup went viral on social media. People were shocked to see them as a couple. Especially after what Anup jee said. For those who are unaware, the duo entered the Bigg Boss season 12 house as a pair, and since then, their relationship has come into the limelight. While they were on the show, everyone wanted to know about their status and whether are seeing each other or not. Singer Anup Ji, on several occasions, has said that Jasleen is like his daughter, and he would never take such a step. But a few days back, when Jasleen posted this photo without any explanation, social media users lost their cool. After a few days of silence, Anup Ji came forward and said that they were dressed because of the shoot and that image is part of their film.
2. Ali Merchant and Sara Khan
Ex Bigg Boss contestants Ali Merchant and Sara Khan were one of the most controversial couples on the show. They were so eager to get married that they didn’t even wait for the show to end, rather they both married each other inside the house. In front of the entire nation, the couple took vows for each other to show how madly they were in love with each other. The makers even called their parents to their wedding to make it all look authentic and real. But after coming out of the show, the so-called couple broke up with each other and in an interview, Ali even went on to say that they were paid 50 Lacs each to do all this drama for TRP.
3. Rakhi Sawant
Drama Queen Rakhi Sawant is called a drama queen for a reason. Who doesn’t remember Rakhi Ka Swayamwar? If there was any other show which was as successful as Bigg Boss, then it has to be Rakhi ke Shaadi ka drama. The show was meant for Rakhi to choose a suitable groom for herself. She was also supposed to marry the guy she chooses on National Television. Can you believe it? All of it happened, she chose a guy, she claimed that she loved him, and they both got married, but within a month of their engagement, news came out that both of them broke off with each other thus, making all of it look fake.
4. Ratan Rajput
We never expected TV serial’s Sanskari bahu to follow Rakhi Sawant’s footsteps. After Rakhi, it was Ratan Rajput’s, Wedding Show. In this show, just like Rakhi, she was also expected to do the same. If you thought that Rakhi’s breakup was coincident then you are in for a treat. Ratan finalized a guy who was a Delhi based software engineer and got married to him only to divorce him later. After the show ended, a close source of Ratan claimed that this was all part of the publicity, and nothing was true. Disappointed much?
5. Neha Kakkar and Aditya Narayan
Bollywood singer Neha Kakkar is head over heels in love with Punjabi Singer Rohan Preet Singh. According to the media sources, they are all set to tie the knot at the end of this month. But did you know that before falling in love with Rohan Preet Singh, Neha was dating Legendary singer Udit Narayan’s son Aditya Narayan? or was she faking it for money. Last year, the makers of Indian Idol made Neha Kakkar and Aditya Narayan flirt with each other on the show due to which there were speculations that they are dating each other.
