Salman Khan has become the latest celebrity to say something about the ongoing farmers’ protest and against the three farm laws. He was questioned by paparazzi at a recent event about his opinion on the issue which picked up a few days back after pop icon Rihanna & activist Greta Thunberg extended support for the protesting farmers.
Reacting to this, Salman said whatever was the correct thing to do, should be done. He was quoted by Spotboye as saying:
“The right thing should be done. The most correct thing should be done. The most noble thing should be done.”
Rihanna had shared a news article on the issue earlier this week and had written
“Why aren’t we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest.”
After this tweet by Rihanna, several Indian celebrities including Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar and cricketers such as Virat Kohli & Sachin Tendulkar had posted on the subject, using the hashtags #IndiaTogether & #IndiaAgainstPropaganda.
This is the first time that Salman Khan has opened up about the issue. The actor has essentially been busy shooting for his upcoming project, ‘Antim: The Final Truth’. In the film, we will be seeing him play the role of a Sikh cop. He will be seen alongside Aayush Sharma wherein the latter is playing a negative role in the film.
Khan is all set for his action-drama ‘Radhe”s release in theatres on the occasion of Eid. Apart from this, he has ‘Tiger 3’, ‘Kick 2’ & ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’. Speaking about these films, he recently told IANS
“There are three films of mine that are ready for release, and the problem with single-screen theatres is that there are very few films being released over there.”
Salman Khan’s new film Radhe is directed by Prabhu Deva and it also features Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda & Jackie Shroff in the pivotal roles.
