Samuel Haokip, friend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput has claimed that the actor and his Kedarnath co-star Sara Ali Khan ‘were totally in love’ until the release of SSR’s film Sonchiriya in 2019. In an Instagram post, Samuel wrote that Sara Ali Khan broke up with Sushant Singh Rajput “due to pressure by the Bollywood mafia.”
Samuel Haokip’s note on Instagram reads,
I remember the time during Kedarnath promotions… Sushant and Sara were totally in love…they were inseparable…so pure and childlike innocence. They both had tremendous respect for each other which was so rare to see nowadays in relationships. Sara along with Sushant had genuine respect for everyone in Sushant’s life…be it family, friends and even staff. I wonder whether Sara’s decision to break up with Sushant right after Sonchiriya’s box office performance was due to any pressure by the Bollywood Mafia.

After Kedarnath, Sara Ali Khan went on to do Simmba with Ranveer Singh as the main lead which released days after Kedarnath. Sushant had appeared in Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya, which arrived three months later.
Samuel Haokip also said:
“I always felt that Sushant Singh Rajput shared a better bond with Sara than with Rhea Chakraborty,”
In an interview with ET Times Samuel was asked if he could tell us about the equation that Sara and Sushant shared to which he replied:
During my time, Sara and Sushant had broken up and then Rhea had come in his life. So I always felt that he shared a slightly better bond with Sara. As I mentioned in my post, they used to respect each other. They used to share poetry with each other and seeing them together felt like watching a movie. Even when both of them were trying to have fun together or flirt with each other, they were very respectful to one another as they knew that there were people around them. The things that they said, always used to make her smile. Their energy was really pure.
