Sushant Gets an Amul Ad as a Tribute to Both His Talent & On-Screen Charm

Keeping up with their tradition of creating iconic advertisements that recall incidents of both national and global value, Indian dairy giant: Amul has now created an ad to pay tribute to Sushant. The new ad by Amul captures Sushant Singh Rajput as a Bollywood talent, bringing alive the on-screen presence and charm he exuded in his flicks such as Kai Po Che!, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story & Sonchiriya in animation avatars.

Lyrics from the audio single: Ik vaari aa, from Sushant’s film Raabta, are used to create the punchline of the ad: ‘Ik vaari phir se aa bhi jaa yaara’.

Sushant, who became a household name with his TV show Pavitra Rishta, before pursuing Bollywood stardom, was found hanging in his residence in Mumbai this Sunday. He was reportedly battling depression. His last rites were carried out on Monday in Mumbai after his father reached Mumbai from his hometown Patna.

Sushant’s industry colleagues: Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Vivek Oberoi, and Kriti Sanon were spotted at the funeral.

On the other hand, talking to Times of India, Saif Ali Khan minced no words as he called out the hypocrisy of industry people. Saif said,

“There are so many people who’ve made comments so quickly. And it just seems to me that people are somewhere gaining some mileage from this poor fellow’s tragedy, you know, whether it’s to show compassion or to show interest or to show some political stance. So many people are talking rubbish in this nonstop kind of barrage on social media and it’s just embarrassing, really, I think.”

An angry Saif added,

“Out of respect for him, for Sushant’s tragedy, maybe a day of silence or introspection would be a little more becoming than this outpouring of love – an outpouring of love from people who obviously didn’t care about him and people who famously don’t care about anybody else.”
