Every now and then, we see so many important celebrities using their social media platform to spread the official guidelines laid out by the government for the welfare of the general public. And despite all that, It came as a shock when Mumbai Police announced that they have arrested top celebrities like Guru Randhawa, Sussanne Khan, and Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina for violating the safety rules amid the Pandemic.
The sources close to Mumbai Police said that the pubs and nightclubs are ordered to shut at 11:30 P.M. as per the new guidelines set by the city’s civic body. But the club where these superstars were found was open till 4 A.M. A case has been filed against the owners of the nightclub ‘Dragonfly’ for not following the guidelines set out by the government. The source said that none of the party-goers were maintaining social distancing and none of them were wearing a mask.
According to the sources, rapper Badshah was also present at the party but he managed to escape the place during the raid, which was conducted at 3 am on 22 December.
Suresh Raina’s management team posted a statement that read, “Suresh was in Mumbai for a shoot which extended to late hours and was invited by a friend for a quick dinner post the same prior to him taking his flight back to Delhi. He was not aware of the local timings and protocols. Once pointed out, he immediately complied with the procedures laid out by the authorities and regrets the unfortunate and unintentional incident. He always holds rules and laws laid down by governing bodies with the highest regard and will continue to do so in the future as well,”
