Support LGBTQ: Ayushmann Khurrana’s Republic Day Message To Fellow Indians

On Republic Day Eve, Ayushmann Khurrana was up in full support for the cause of LGBTQ after playing a gay character in his upcoming flick ‘Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan‘.

Yesterday was Republic Day and it was the moment of double celebrations for Ayushmann Khurrana. Not only Ayushmann wished his fans a very Happy Republic Day by waving the Indian National flag but also used this day to support the cause of LGBTQ+ aka Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual. Ayushmann Khurrana urged fellow Indians to come out in full support for the LGBTQ community by waving the pride flag in his other hand.

Wearing a white kurta and denims with funky sneakers, Ayushmann did a photoshoot posing with the Indian National Flag and pride flag in each of his hand.

Ayushmann penned below message for his fans while posting the photo on his Instagram.

“Let equality triumph! Let’s make this year all about spreading, sharing, and receiving love!,”

The LGBTQ pride flag had the colours violet, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. As per Gilbert Baker Estate, the different colours for pride (LGBTQ) flag also indicate a meaning. While pink was for sex, red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, turquoise for magic, indigo for harmony, violet was for spirit.

While Ayushmann was giving a call to fellow Indians on his Instagram to lend their support to the cause of LGBTQ. He also promoted his upcoming movie ‘Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan’. Talking about Ayushmann’s character in this flick. He’s playing a gay lover in the movie. Jitendra Kumar is playing his gay partner in the movie which marks Ayushmann’s re-collaboration with Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, post Badhaai Ho.

Ayushmann Khurrana has created an industry image for himself for doing films that deal with issues that are socially relevant but are subjected to suppression in the name of being not in line with the culture.
