Sunny Deol Finally Breaks His 16 Year-Old Silence on His Tiff With Shah Rukh Khan During ‘Darr’

Sunny Deol and SRK’s tiff that happened during the shoot of their 1993 movie Darr, is one of the most (in)famous ones in the tinsel town. Bollywood buffs would have a strong memory of this incident, a showdown between Sunny and Shah Rukh on the sets of the film that was directed by Late Yash Chopra.

As both these B-town celebs have a huge fan base. So a lot was said and written about this fallout between both back then and it was also reported that Sunny was so miffed with SRK that he didn’t speak to him for about 16 years. Now during a recent appearance at India TV, when Sunny was asked to verify the incident. He shared,

“It’s not that I didn’t talk but I just cut myself off and I anyway don’t socialise much. So we never met, toh baat karne ki baat hi nahi hai.”

When he was asked whether Shah Rukh and Late Yash Chopra were scared of him on the sets of the film, Sunny said,

“I guess, they must be scared because they were wrong.” He then recalled the incident which led to their infamous fight.

He shared,

“I was doing a scene in the film where Shah Rukh stabs me. I had a heated discussion with Late Yash Chopra regarding that scene. I tried explaining that I am a commando officer in the film, my character is an expert, I am very fit, then how can this boy (Shah Rukh’s character in the film) beat me easily. He can beat me if I can’t see him. If he can stab me while I am looking at him, then I won’t be called a commando.”

Sunny further added,

“Since Yash ji was old, I respected him and couldn’t say anything. I put my hands inside my pocket as I was very angry. Soon, out of anger, I didn’t even realise that I had ripped my pants with my hands.”

After A 16 Year Silence Sunny Deol Finally Spoke His Mind On His Tiff With SRK
