Dhadkan actor Suniel Shetty is aware of the continuous discussions that have been making round for star kids, their lifestyles & theri involvement of drugs in the film industry. While Suniel is confident that his children actor Athiya Shetty & son Ahan are safe, he has shown his worry about the wrong perception that people have around star kids.
In an interview with IANS, the actor said:
“I don’t worry for my kids,” “(I am) worried about my kids in the industry in general. Every industry kid is called a ‘druggie’. No, we are not, we are good people. We are socially placed and we do our CSR and I am very vocal about it. What I support is a clean, good, friendly environment.”
Suniel in the same interview further added:
“Failure has never come my way. I am Suniel Shetty even after five flops. You cannot tell me how to walk and talk. You can say about me, ‘he is a flop actor’ but where are you in life? Who are you to question? These are the questions I would ask if you get personal. Otherwise, you are living your life and I am living my life. So, no judgement.”
While daughter Athiya has already been seen in three films in the Hindi film industry, Ahan will soon be making his Bollywood debut in the Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster film “RX 100”.
Talking about his son, the Suniel claimed:
“I think my image will be affected by him because he is so damn good. Even if he does action, people will say, ‘how come the father was not so good.? Father was average but the son is superb.’ He is far more sincere. He has a golden heart.”
Earlier this month, he also joined Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Ajay Devgn & Ekta Kapoor by expressing his opinion about the ongoing farmers protest. Shetty, along with the other actors, urged people that they should not fall for false propaganda against India.
His tweet came after the international pop icon Rihanna and other known personalities like Mia Khalifa & Greta Thunberg tweeted in favor of the farmers’ protest in the country.
Soon after Shetty put up his tweet, the actor received massive backlash for his opinion on the protest by the farmers. Later, while explaining his tweet, in an exclusive interaction with the news soruce ETimes, Shetty said that he was supporting the government & his country.
“I am supporting the farmers. I’m supporting the government and supporting India. My statement was very very clear to all the celebrities from outside of India defaming us, and giving the wrong picture about what’s happening in our country.”
“I’m a farmer myself, my forefathers were farmers. And we should always respect that. The farmers are our backbone. And that is the most important thing, my statement is very, very clear. That doesn’t work. And this is to all the celebrities who are trying to comment on our country without really knowing too much about what’s going on, The Main Hoon Na actor further added.
