Student Of The Year 2 Song: Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan shows its star cast: Tiger, Ananya and Tara getting groovy but in a different style.
After paying a tribute to both Randhir Kapoor-Jaya Bachchan with a reworked version of the veteran performers’ iconic song Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, the makers of Student Of The Year sequel have now come out with a second track from the movie and the song is titled Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan.
While the song does remind one of Radha from the parent movie of this sequel, this one is a nuclear fusion of both pop and groovy beats with some lyrics in it that are insanely silly. Some of these lyrics go like these,
“Dil mein bhara hai aise disco, paani pyaara ho jaise fish ko’ and ‘Main nai rukdi, mukdi hai battery mere phone diyaa.”
Producer Karan Johar used his Twitter account to share this track and captioned it with these exact words,
“Here to raise the temperature! #MumbaiDilliDiKudiyaan out now – http://bit.ly/MumbaiDilli.”
Here’s the video of the song, have a look:
The music of this song is composed by the well known Bollywood Duo Vishal-Shekhar, its insane lyrics are penned by Vayu and the song has been sung by Dev Negi, Payal Dev, and Vishal Dadlani. During the launch event that was held especially for the song, Ananya Pandey who is also a part of the on-screen love triangle said,
“Tara and I were dying to do an Indian song, especially after watching Radha. I told them you guys have to put one here. It was amazing shooting an Indian song with Tiger and Tara.”
