The recent Pulwama attack in Kashmir has shaken the entire country. In a deadly terrorist attack, India lost nearly 45 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers and ever since the news broke out on 14th February, the country has been grieving the loss to such a cowardly attack laid down by the Pakistan-based terrorist group, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).
Much like the other citizens of the country who have been sending in their support and condolences to the bereaved and their families, several Bollywood celebrities like Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, too tweeted in the solidarity of the martyrs. Amitabh Bachchan has also extended his support to the families who lost their brave sons by donating 5 lakh rupees to each family.
Popular Bollywood singer, Sonu Nigam has also been added to the list, who shared a post on Facebook where he pointed out the strangeness of the world we are living in because apparently, the fanatics who yearn for destruction have taken over the world. He wrote,
“Prayers for the families of the victim CRPF javaans killed in Pulwama today. These are warning signs of conflicting times ahead.. It’s difficult to fathom that some people would be rejoicing today celebrating the massacre in their homes and places of worship. Strange world we live in. Now there will be a retaliation from us.. They will die. And this goes on. We live in a crazy world. Only because the rational ones are quiet and the fanatics have taken over the society. Om Shanti. God bless the families of the CRPF javaans.”
Over the course of two days, several perceptions of different kinds of people came forward. Where Kangana Ranaut criticized the act strongly and stated that it is not the time to think about banning Pakistan, instead we should destroy them; Navjot Singh Sidhu condemned the lethal attack but also suggested that the dialogue with the enemy nation, Pakistan should not stop, for which he was heavily trolled and also fired from his weekly appearance from The Kapil Sharma Show.
Sonu Nigam yesterday put on a video on Facebook exposing and slamming the hypocrisy of the so-called “secular” people of the country and took a jibe at them by asking them, “Kyun dukh mana rahe ho?” and saying that rather they should shout out the slogans they love to blow out like “Bharat tere tukde honge….”. He said this in reference to the JNU controversial sedition row which happened in 2016. Further making a sarcastic remark, he said that he wouldn’t sign off by saying ‘Namaste’ or ‘Vande Matram’ but ended the video by saying ‘Laal Salaam’. Here’s the video he uploaded, have a look:

Sonu Nigam’s rant has been collecting mixed reactions from people but it is for all of us to understand that no one should use this as propaganda. Any terrorist attack in every sense needs to be stopped and whatever action needs to be taken, to put a halt to such inhumanity, should be taken at the earliest.
