Bollywood Actor cum Bollywood Veteran: Anil Kapoor’s daughter: Sonam Kapoor has switched off her Twitter account comments section after it was flooded with hate messages, that she has been getting after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
Sonam was subjected to such hatred, because of 2 reasons. Firstly, she is a star kid and secondly, she’s always been openly proud of getting that special treatment, in other words, not having to struggle to get work in the film industry.
Speaking in cryptic words, Sonam carries a feeling that there is nothing wrong about prevalent nepotism in the film industry. Her supporting argument is that if one’s parents have worked hard to establish a base in the industry, then their kids have a right to get an easy entry pass to stage by birth.
Sonam is one of the many star kids who came under the scanner as ever since fans have been outraging against powerful filmmakers, studios, and star kids, who they believe neglected Sushant and didn’t give him his due.
Sharing the messages, Sonam penned in her post,
“Yes I’ve switched off my comment section and my parent’s comment section because I don’t want my 64-year-old parents to go through this. They did nothing to deserve this. And I’m not doing it out of fear you morons, I’m doing it out of common sense to preserve my mental health and my parents.”
An angry Sonam didn’t just stop at that and wrote,
“Also people wishing death on my future children. And on my family. That video you’ve been spouting was 7 years old. When he had one film out didn’t know him, like he didn’t know me and didn’t say anything about me ell I now.. also please go and watch the episodes where my fellow actors have maybe said much won’t about me, but I have taken it in the spirit the show was meant to be, in jest.”
There is an old saying that everything comes at a cost. You have to pay for it either today or in the coming future. Sonam’s entry into the film industry was an easy one, all thanks to her star kid entry pass, but now her struggles have begun as times have come where she has to deal with box office audiences, in other words, the general public, who will always have its own thought process.
To be precise, Sonam has to perform on the public stage now, wherein the judge’s panel, there is no one to give her preferential treatment.
