Shilpa Shetty and her family was dragged to the court by an automobile agency proprietor as he accused them of non-payment of dues. Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, sister Shamita Shetty with mother Sunanda Shetty are being accused by an automobile agency for not paying their dues of amount INR 21 Lacs.
Parhad Amra, the Proprietor of the automobile agency claimed that Late Surendra Shetty, who is the late father of Shilpa Shetty had borrowed an amount of INR 21 lacs and intended to return it with interest by January in 2017. Since he didn’t receive his dues, he sued the family. However, the Shetty family have denied to all the accusations but will attend the hearing for the same case on 29th January at the Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
The publications have obtained a copy of the complaint that Parhad made, which states that he had a cordial relation with Surendra Shetty and had given a loan to him of INR 21 lakh in July 2015 in three installments to help Shetty in his business. According to the agreement, Shilpa’s father was intended to pay back the amount with an interest of 18 percent to the agency and all payments were made through cheques drawn in favor of Surendra’s firm ‘Corgifts’.
Parhad also claims that according to his knowledge Sunanda (Surendra’s wife) and his two daughters (Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty) were his partners at the firm and were totally aware of this business transaction. Nonetheless, Surendra expired just after few months of this transaction in October 2016 and when after his death the family didn’t pay his amount, Parhad accused Shilpa and the whole family backed off from the situation and denied that the load was ever advanced, and disagreed to repay the amount.
When in an Interview with Mid-Day Shilpa was asked about the case, she told the media persons that she never involved in her father’s business, and was not at all aware of the transaction that happened between the proprietor (Parhad) and her father (Surendra Shetty). she stated,
“I have never had any involvement in my late father’s business, and have no knowledge at all of the financial dealings of the company. This gentleman is misleading the media. I knew him in the capacity of our family car mechanic, that’s all.”
