Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most celebrated Indian festivals when it comes to Bollywood. Over the past few years, it has given us some fantastic tunes to celebrate this most endearing Indian festival. Below we are sharing with you one new contribution of theirs when it comes to Ganesh Chaturthi 2019.
Renowned Music composer Shankar Mahadevan has just released a new track titled ‘Ganpati Bappa Padhaare’, in collaboration with his sons Siddharth and Shivam Mahadevan. If our estimates are not wrong, then this would be the very first time that this Triad has worked together officially.
He debuted this track on Zoom TV. In one of his Instagram posts, Shankar shares that this year their family will be welcoming Ganapati Bappa into their home with this song, which will definitely make us break out into a dance.
Having a conversation with Zoom, Shankar and his sons discussed the instruments that are played on festive occasions.
Have a look at the song below:
Very recently, Shankar was honored with the Padma Shri award, the third-highest civilian award in India, for his contributions to Indian music. Both elated and humbled by this event, Shankar tweeted,
“It’s a great honor & a privilege to accept the #PadmaShri award graciously from our honorable President #RamNathKovind @rashtrapatibhvn Thank you all for the endless love and support!!!” (sic)
