In our last report, we had shared with you what Vidya Balan had to say about playing Shakuntala Devi in latter’s biopic.

Talking about Vidya Balan. In her Bollywood career till date, there would be hardly any character that she hasn’t played on the silver screen. From scaring us as Manjulika to bringing a smile on our face as Tara Shinde, she has done it all. After the blockbuster success of her last flick: Mission Mangal, Vidya is readying herself to entertain us with her upcoming project- Shakuntala Devi. Her first look as Shakuntala Devi from filmmaker Anu Menon‘s directorial was recently released.
A source that is close to the project has informed us as to how, late Shakuntala Devi’s daughter, Anupama Banerji, reacted to Vidya’s look.
“Anupama, who stays in London, was thrilled to see Vidya in her late mother Shakuntala Devi’s look and got quite emotional. She praised Vidya for pulling off her character look so well that it instantly reminded her of her mother.”
Vidya indeed looks like Shakuntala Devi.
Earlier during an interview, talking about her character in the film, Vidya had said,

But what truly fascinates me is that you wouldn’t normally associate a fun person with Math…and she completely turns that perception on its head.”
Jisshu Sengupta, who is also crucial of Sadak 2, will be playing Vidya’s aka Shakuntala Devi’s husband: Paritosh Banerji in the film.
