DEBUT IN DIGITAL SPACE

In the beginning, there were no such offers. But when they came some of the scripts were really rubbish, while others were really good. Lack of time was the main reason that kept me away from the OTT platform, as they require a good 30-40 days at a stretch. But Fixerr is different, it allowed me to manage my time. It is a full-on masala entertainer. It is a Bollywood flick for both your phone & tablet screens. To date, no one has attempted masala content before; they have all been dark & subject-based. But this one is in a fun zone with lots of twists and turns.

Shabir says,

“I thought if I was coming on the digital medium, I should do it with a bang, with something that’s larger-than-life, which people can sit back & enjoy. I thought Fixerr would be the right show to debut with.”

PLAYING A TAINTED COP

Talking about his character i.e. Jaiveer Maalik, he is a fixer.

“He is a tainted cop who goes berserk & ruthless. He goes over the top. He is bad news if you come across him. Because even after he is done with you, he won’t leave you.”

JUGGLING SHOWS

“Juggling between Kumkum Bhagya & Fixerr wasn’t a tough job. After every 4-5 of shooting the web series, I’d shoot 1 day for the TV show. Both are entirely different characters, so, obviously, the switch-on and switch-off was there. But, in the end, i enjoyed this change.”
