Nimrat Kaur won a lot of hearts at box-office with her earnest performance in Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift. But unfortunately, the actress has not been signing many Bollywood projects for a while now. When she was asked for the reason behind the same, she revealed to a leading daily.
“I don’t like to scare myself with the thought. I’d rather do something fantastic than something random just because I am out of the scene. I don’t want to do anything that isn’t worthy.”
Last seen on silver screen in The Test Case. Nimrat nurtures a belief that ‘breaks’ are good. When she was asked that was the reason that made her believe so, she said,
“That kind of desperation might go against your productivity. I fear making such mistakes. So, a little bit of gap at times is good, it also helps in gathering more interest. Hopefully, when I come back, I’ll be accepted.”
In this same interview, Nimrat also said that she is making regular efforts to strike a balance between her work both in India and abroad as she is putting all her attention and energy towards managing her career both ways.
Note: Maybe she has learnt a lesson from Priyanka Chopra Jonas, as she has to leave Salman Khan’s: Bharat in midway, for her wedding to Nick Jonas off-shore. And she was taken with a hard hand both by Salman and Bharat filmmakers for her unprofessional behavior, as she was the one who himself booked the role by giving a call to the filmmakers, later on played by Katrina.
Nimrat also said that even though it’s tricky, she’s doing her level best to strike a balance, as she has offers both from Bollywood and the web.
Nimrat will be coming out in public with her future projects very soon.
The LunchBox opposite Irrfan Khan is the flick that made Nimrat Kaur a recognised name in the film industry.
