Ratna Pathak Shah To Play Ranveer Singh’s Mother In His Upcoming Flick 

Popular TV Sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai female lead Ratna Pathak Shah is all set to play Ranveer Singh’s mother in ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’. Ratna Pathak Shah is married to Naseeruddin Shah.

Ratna Pathak Shah has been offered this opportunity to play an important role in Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ by her mentee cum theatre actor-turned-director Divyang Thakkar.

For the past few days, both Ranveer Singh and Shalini Pandey have been extensively shooting for their forthcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Both these actors headed to Gujarat for the shoot and the film is being helmed by debutant Divyang Thakkar. Ranveer will be seen as a Gujarati man on box office for the very first time in his entire film industry career. Everyone was left impressed after his first look from the film was unveiled a few weeks back.

Talking about veteran actor Ratna Pathak Shah and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ director: Divyang Thakkar. Divyang was Ratna’s mentee during his theatre days and now he will be directing her in the film.

Ratna was talking to Mid Day about this upcoming project of hers and said,

“Some months ago, a young actor came to me with a script. Actors making movies can be tricky, so I was cautious as I began reading, but was thoroughly entertained by the end of the script. The story not only had a message but also had a heart.”

She completed her interview by talking about the subject of Jayeshbhai Jordaar stating,

“It talks about issues close to my heart.”

Sometime back when Ranveer Singh was asked about his working experience with Director: Divyang Thakkar.

He said,

“I’m glad that today I find myself in a position where I can recognise exceptional talent and wholeheartedly back the vision of a brilliant new writer-director like Divyang. Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be my next release after ’83.”
