Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt news just doesn’t seem to end, do they? Ever since Ranbir made his relationship with Alia official, rumour mills are abuzz about their wedding. And there were reports that the two are planning to tie the knot in 2020 but now, sources say, they might not wait till then and instead just get married next year.
Two of the most anticipated and much awaited Bollywood weddings, Ranveer-Deepika’s and Priyanka-Nick’s is already happening this year and it will be just right to see another Bollywood wedding next year.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are both from the film background and both the families are well established Bollywood families. The two apparently have been approved by both their parents and this is probably the first Ranbir Kapoor girlfriend about whom the Kapoor parents have openly praised and accepted with open arms.
A source close to the family said,
“She has been welcomed into the family by everyone. So it’s not just Ranbir who loves Alia. His parents, sister and the rest of the sprawling Kapoor family adore her too. Marriage is on Ranbir’s mind for sure and he will get into it happily this time. The couple will wait until Rishi Kapoor’s recovery before discussing a date for marriage,”
Apparently, the couple is waiting for the Senior Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor to recover who is currently undergoing a treatment in New York. Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor were there by his side along with their friends visiting them but what was special for the fans and for the family was Alia Bhatt’s visit to New York to meet Ranbir and his parents. In fact, Alia, Ranbir, Rishi, and Neetu were seen having dinner together like a happy family and Alia seemed to fit just right in.
The source further added,
“Though other Kapoor bahus like Karisma-Kareena’s mom Babita and Rishi’s wife Neetu Singh gave up their careers after marriage, theirs was a voluntary decision. Alia will continue with her thriving career.”
Alia Bhatt’s films are a block at the box office and her recent release Raazi was enough to prove that. The film went to not just win accolades for the actress’ performance in the film but also crossed the 100 crore mark. It was the script and her Alia Bhatt’s portrayal of the character Sehmat that helmed the movie on its shoulders.
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju was another record breaker and it became one of the highest grossers of the year. A little while ago, when Ranbir was promoting Sanju and was asked about his plans to tie the knot, the actor said,
“Soon hopefully! :)”
When Alia was asked about the same, she said,
“Right now, I am not thinking about getting married. But honestly, I am not someone who thinks about these things. I just go ahead and do them. It could be a very random thing since I consider myself a random person. So, I may make these decisions also at random.”
Both of them are doing great professionally and personally as well. Their pictures on social media and them taking time out to spend quality time with each other prove that the two are really fond of each other and are ready to take the plunge soon. The two bonded on the sets of Brahmastra, their upcoming film together with Amitabh Bachchan and Dimple Kapadia, directed by Ayaan Mukherji, and that’s where the love blossomed.
