Ramya Krishnan’s Biopic Version Of Jayalalithaa Aka ‘Queen’ Outshines Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Thalaivi’

In the coming time, we will get to see Kangana Ranaut in the role of Jayalalithaa in the biopic titled Thalaivi. But Ramya Krishnan has beaten Kangana in her own game with ‘Queen’.
It was not a long ago that the makers of Thalaivi unveiled the first look of Kangana Ranaut as Jayalalithaa. Now South-based actress Ramya Krishnan has stepped into the same shoes. Although fitting into Jayalalithaa’s shoes is a big deal, Ramya is, without a doubt, doing more justice to Jayalalitha’s character.

The ‘Queen’ trailer, that was unveiled online just a few hours back, shows Ramya Krishnan’s journey from a little girl who rebels to facilitate her education, followed by entering the glamour world in the most natural manner & in the deciding part of her life’s journey where she turns into a politician. In comparison to Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivi trailer, which was a disappointment in almost every possible way, the Queen trailer is extremely convincing & respectful to Late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa.

Whilst Thalaivi showed Kangana Ranaut’s character (Jayalalithaa) in the sleaziest manner, Ramya Krishnan’s Queen has a strong focus on her performance. Unlike Kangana’s not required prosthetics, Ramya decided to keep it natural and did not go overboard to focus on the weight of Jayalalithaa over the story of her life.
Much like the flick Mahanati, Queen has a love angle that tries to ruin the life of on-screen Jayalalithaa, but she very respectfully stands by her lover while he is on his deathbed. That, in fact, is one of the most powerful scenes of the trailer.

One will not be wrong to say that Ramya Krishnan has without a doubt overthrown Kangana Ranaut as the ‘Queen’ with her performance in Jayalalithaa biopic.
