‘Prassthanam’ Trailer: Sanjay Dutt Talks It Out Loud When It Comes To His Political Heir

Prassthanam has a cast with names that include: Ali Fazal, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Manisha Koirala, Amyra Dastur and Satyajeet Dubey.

Its trailer has been unveiled and it’s quite gripping. It is a deal that is full of noteworthy dialogues & one-liners & going by the looks of it, the film is expected to be an epic political thriller.

Sanjay Dutt who is playing the role of the head of a political family, tells his son, played by Ali Fazal, that if there’s one person in the family who’ll be the leader after him, it’ll be only him as he’s born for it. Manisha Koirala plays Sanjay Dutt’s wife in the flick, while Chunky Pandey is playing an antagonist. Jackie Shroff is playing a family loyalist and also a keeper of the family secrets.

As we mentioned above, the trailer is full of some hard-hitting one-liners. There is one of them that stands out,

“Sadiyon se aisa hi hota aaya hai. Apne hi apno ko maarte hain, bas hathiyaar badal jaate hain.”

This one-liner makes it crystal clear that the flick deals with themes like morality, loyalty, betrayal & power struggle within a family.

Have a look at the trailer here:

Chunky Pandey is also getting a clever punchline and it’s good to seem him in a negative character which is a far cry from his Aakhri Pasta stint (we like!).

Not much has been disclosed about the character of Jackie Shroff in the trailer, except that he’s the loyal guard of the political family, guarding all their secrets. Manisha Koirala & Amyra Dastur too had little to do in this trailer. One can hope that film does justice to every character i.e. ample screen time for everyone to show their talent on-screen, unlike the injustice done to them in the trailer.

Helmed by Deva Katta, Prassthanam is all set to hit the theatres on September 20.
