Pati Patni Aur Woh’s: Woh Aka Ananya Panday Spills The Beans On What Will Be Different This Time 

The 1978 classic Bollywood flick Pati Patni Aur Woh with an ensemble cast that included Sanjeev Kumar, Ranjeeta Kaur and Vidya Sinha is getting a contemporary remake. This remake will be directed by Mudassar Aziz and it will cast the youngest lot from Bollywood: Ananya Panday, Bhumi Pednekar and Kartik Aaryan.

It’s Woh aka Ananya recently opened up about the major differences in characters between the original & the remake.

The original version was a movie about a husband who cheats on his wife by having an affair with his secretary, lying to her that his wife is on the death bed. Ananya shared while the story is left untouched, the remake is going to be a very modern take on the original, with the female characters being more empowered.

Ananya was talking to Mid-Day and said,

“In the past, women didn’t have such strong characters. In our film, Bhumi and I have prominent roles. Our characters are far more developed and you’ll see that through our dialogues as well. Showcasing empowered women is inspirational.”

Just a few days back, filmmakers unveiled the first poster, which has amped up the anticipation of audiences. Giving an explanation regarding its characters, Ananya said that she will play the role of a hot secretary, whereas Kartik that of Chintu Tyagi, and Bhumi will play the role of his wife, Vedica.

Ananya strongly believes that this remake will have a strong connect with younger audiences.

Talking about Patni aka Bhumi Pednekar’s upcoming projects. She has very recently completed shooting for a Biopic titled: Saand Ki Aankh. In this flick she will share the screen space with Taapsee Pannu. Saand Ki Aankh is set for a box office release coming Friday i.e. 25th Oct, 2019.

And when it comes to Kartik, he’s currently shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
