Bollywood Actor: Nawazuddin Siddiqui has issued a legal notice to his Wife: Aaliya for defamation of his character. According to Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s lawyer, the actor had also responded to divorce notice that was sent to him on May 7th by Aaliya.
As per a report on Times of India.com, Nawazuddin’s notice to his estranged wife alleges “engaging in fraud, willful and planned defamation” and “slander of character”.
This legal notice also adds that the actor had replied to Aaliya’s divorce notice on May 19th, within the mandated period of 15 days, as per IPC (Indian Penal Code). Nawazuddin’s Spouse: Aaliya had reportedly complained in a recent media interaction that she is unable to pay their children’s school fees as Nawaz has stopped paying her the monthly allowance.
Nawazuddin’s lawyer has rubbished these claims. Talking to the website, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s lawyer Adnan Shaikh said,
“EMI is still being paid by my client. Other children related expenses too. Divorce notice was replied to but again, she has stated the contrary in order to defame through this well thought slander campaign”.
Not only that, but it has also been stated that Nawaz in his notice has demanded from his wife: Aaliya, not to make any defamatory comments against him in the coming future. The notice also demanded that Aaliya issue a written clarification for whatever she recently said (in her interviews).
Talking about Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Aaliya’s marriage. Both got hitched around 11 years ago. Theirs was a love marriage. While Nawaz is a Muslim by birth, Aaliya is a Hindu. Her original name is Anjana Kishor Pandey. Both have 2 kids together: Daughter: Shora and a Son: Yaani.
Nawaz lives in Mumbai with his younger brother, Shamas Nawab Siddiqui who is a director. Shamas is the same person whom Aaliya counts as one of the reasons that caused the collapse of their marriage. Recently this estranged couple resorted to blaming games in public to get back at each other.
