Anand released in the year 1971 and is one of the first movies to have highlighted the life of a person suffering from a rare disease called Lymphosarcoma of the intestine. Portrayed by Rajesh Khanna in his inimitable style the movie is a must-watch.
Black released in the year 2005 and was one of the most touching movies ever made. The movie had Rani Mukherjee playing the role of a deaf and a mute girl and her mentor played by the unrivaled Amitabh Bachchan who is an Alzheimer’s patient in the movie.

U Me Aur Hum released in the year 2008. The movie had the bubbly Kajol play the role of Pia who is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. her trials and life show the many struggles faced by people suffering from the disease across the world.
4. Tare Zameen Par
Tare Zameen Par released in the year 2007 and touched a sore string in many hearts. The movie dealt with the learning disorder of dyslexia that children and adults alike are afflicted with around the world.
Paa released in the year 2009 and was an intense portrayal of a child suffering from a rare genetic disorder. The character was beautifully portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan in his flawless style.
6. My Name is Khan
My Name is Khan released in the year 2010. The movie is about the protagonist played by Shahrukh Khan suffering from Asperger’s syndrome.
7. Margarita with a Straw
Margarita with a Straw released in the year 2014. The movie is about a girl who suffers from cerebral palsy and moves to the United States to pursue her education.
Guzarish released in the year 2010 and portrayed the life of a quadriplegic. Played by Hrithik Roshan, the movie shows him as paralyzed from the neck down.
