Last Saturday, many Bollywood celebs including Dutee Chand, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Karan Johar & Manish Malhotra glorified the Vogue Women Of The Year 2019 event in their uber-glamorous avatars. And here’s the winner list.
Anushka Sharma, who’s popular for her cool & comfy styling sense, which any girl can relate to, won the Style Icon Of The Year award & we totally feel that she deserves it.
These were her words while speaking at the event,
“Sometimes we push ourselves to wear extremely uncomfortable clothes. There are clothes meant for a specific reason-they look beautiful on screen but they’re not the most amazing clothes to wear. In my own space I want to be comfortable in what I’m wearing and, most importantly, it has to reflect me.”
Just 26 years old, Alia Bhatt, can leave anyone in awe with her plethora of acting chops when it comes to her silver screen performance. She took home the Performer Of The Year award. Her upcoming projects include Brahmastra, Sadak 2, RRR, Takht & Gangubai Kathiawadi. Her first-ever box office project with Salman Khan, which was supposed to be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali was shelved for reasons that are still not known.
Katrina Kaif was crowned with the Risk Taker Of The Year award. For the uninitiated, Katrina is in the news for launching her own beauty brand ‘Kay’ & talking about the same, she said,
“I want it to portray my philosophy. It definitely does not say, ‘Look like me.’ I want you to have fun with my makeup and let it enhance the favourite parts of you.”
Ranveer Singh, best known for his versatile bodywork, won the Man Of The Year award. Last seen with Alia Bhatt in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, which is also India’s official entry to the Oscars this year. He will play on-screen hubby to his real-life wife: Deepika Padukone in Kabir Khan directed Kapil Dev Biopic: ‘83.
