Kartik Aaryan Reveals Why He Skipped PM Modi’s Swearing-In Ceremony

Everyone’s favourite Kartik Aaryan was seen missing from the swearing-in ceremony of India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. When he was queried about the reason behind his absence, he told to Deccan Chronicle:

“I would have loved to be there, but I was not there due to some family matters. But the event really went off well and I do hope that Modiji coming back will be good for the film industry.”

When he was asked another question, that where he sees himself in the film industry at present,

“I feel like I am a part and have become an important part of the industry after my last two films, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Luka Chuppi, have been successful. The last 18 months have instilled a lot of confidence in me, and also validated the choice of films I have been making as an actor.”

When it comes to the work front, his last movie was Luka Chuppi (with Kriti Sanon), a love story that featured a couple having dreams of living with each other minus any social commitment i.e. marriage and their families that are strongly traditional join in the couple’s ride making the play more interesting for the silver screen visitors.

Kartik Aaryan Sara Ali Khan

While his next project is Imtiaz Ali’s Aaj Kal, where he will have Saif’ daughter Sara Ali Khan playing his lady love. Ironically, Sara in an interview admitted to having a crush on Kartik and it is rumored that this real-life crush of hers played a crucial role whilst the casting for this movie was being done. After that, he will be seen in Pati, Patni Aur Woh with Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday.

Kartik concluded the interview with the words,

“It tells me that I am choosing my films correctly and I hope that my next two films, with Imtiaz Ali sir and Pati Patni Aur Woh does equally well,”
