Kangana Ranaut Slammed & Compared to Rakhi Sawant After Her Uncalled For Attack at Alia Bhatt

Kangana Ranaut might be making the headlines but they sure aren’t pretty, for she has mastered the art of being surrounded in negative publicity. There were times when she used to fall in controversies without her doing much, but now, it seems like she enjoys the attention, no matter what it is given for and so, she is looking for different ways to stay in the news. *that’s where Rakhi Sawant comes in, we guess* And recently, the trick she has opted is by throwing mud-slinging shots at her contemporaries, in the name of being honest and empowering women. Totally got it wrong, Kangana!

Very recently, she took a straight dig at Alia Bhatt and her performance in Gully Boy. For the uninitiated, here’s what happened:

An entertainment portal conducted a poll, asking moviegoers to vote in for the best performance by a Female Actor in 2019 so far. Kangana bagged 37% votes for her performance in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and WON the poll whereas Alia Bhatt stood in second with 33% votes for Gully Boy. Where it all seems fine to us and should have been fine for Kangana as well, when the portal contacted her to know her reaction, she instead of telling how she felt on winning, gave a furious reply on being compared with Alia Bhatt.

Ranaut lashed out and claimed to be embarrassed. She said,

“I am embarrassed. What is there to beat in Gully Boy performance? Same snappy muh phat girl. Bollywood’s idea of a fiery girl, woman empowerment and good acting, spare me this embarrassment, please,”

She added,

“Media has taken filmy kids love too far. Stop pampering mediocre work or else bar will never be raised.”

First off, the movie in all was a masterpiece. Alia as Safeena too just added to the brilliance of the movie by her spectacular performance. Second off, it wasn’t just some ‘snappy muh phat girl’ but way beyond who was adamant on pursuing her dreams of becoming a surgeon. Alia Bhatt has walked past the nepotism debates like a boss, by proving her worth as an actor, as an artist. Putting her in the same bracket is wrong and attacking her for no reason is worse. Kangana believes she deserves a National Award for Manikarnika but Alia doesn’t even deserve to be appreciated for an amazing performance? Sounds hypocritical.

Well, we haven’t heard from Alia Bhatt yet but the Netizens don’t seem appreciative of her uncalled for attack. Some thought that she has lost her senses, some called her rude, and some also went on to compare her to Rakhi Sawant. Some of Kangana’s fans also felt sad for her. Let’s dive right in:

Niraj Mancchanda‏ @mancchandaniraj “#AliaBhatt is a superb actress. #KanganaRanaut has lost her senses completely. Don’t get carried away by the title #MentalHaiKya is not #Kangana ‘s #Biopic.” [sic]

nilofer‏ @nilukman “#Alia is 7y old in industry, #Kangna is 15y? K was the hero in #Manikarnika, A was not in #Gully.Comparing both is apple & orange. Both to me very capable actors but the fact tat #Ranaut attacks @aliaa08 frequently says a lot so Alia is winner, acc to #KanganaRanaut herself!” [sic]

Honest Opinions‏ @myhonop “@vidya_balan is a far more talented & better actress than the overrated controversial arrogant piece of shit #KanganaRanaut. She did so much for women empowerment in Hindi cinema much before this ninnycoop but chooses to stay humble. #vidyabalan.” [sic]

Parvez Choudhari ‏ @parvezcivil “#KanganaRanaut should stop doing like rakhi sawant.” [sic]

Kangana Ranaut

Prateek Aneja‏ @5Aneja “This is real face of foul mouthed psycho serial stalker #KanganaRanaut @Rangoli_A. If Alia or anyone else had said bad about Kangana, the lobby and blind supporters backing her would’ve written long lectures of nepotism etc to that person. Kangana is arrogant, rude ill mannered.” [sic]

Phenil‏ @phenil “#KanganaRanaut why are you so vile and hateful? Star kid or not, Aliaa has earned the praise with her talent just like you did. Shouldn’t talent appreciate talent? Don’t throw away your achievements by running your mouth where its not needed.” [sic]

Kangana Ranaut

Radhika Salasskar‏ @RSalasskar “what kangana is doing these days is ought to be called arrogance. i love her and her work but she’s just coming across as a bad person now. no matter what a brat #AliaBhatt is but she was actually good in #GullyBoy. this is sad. #KanganaRanaut #Manikarnika.” [sic]

Not too long ago, Kangana had fired Alia Bhatt in the media for skipping her movie’s screening and that’s how her tiff with Alia began. She was quoted as saying,

“I reached out to Alia and asked her what makes her think Manikarnika is my personal controversy, it’s a film whole nation is talking about and wondering why Bollywood is keeping quiet on such a relevant work.”

Apart from that, she also went on to call her a Karan Johar puppet and suggested her to apparently grow a spine. She further added,

“I asked her if I can be courteous and gracious to acknowledge her requests for encouraging relevant work that she does, why is she so scared to see my film. I suggested that she grows some spine and support an important film about woman empowerment and nationalism. If she doesn’t have a voice of her own and her existence is all about being KJo (Karan Johar) puppet then I don’t consider her successful.”

Kangana Ranaut

This seems to have become a repeated behaviour, for some extra publicity. And Alia Bhatt doesn’t seem to care. The number of votes Kangana got in the poll suggest that she is loved as a performer and deservedly so, but her attitude towards the whole scenario might just break it for her.

Will she come up with another absurd statement? Tell us what you feel in the comments.
