It won’t be wrong to say that director Abhishek Varman’s upcoming period drama, Kalank is one of the most awaited films of the year 2019, the primary reason being its stellar star cast and a gripping storyline that is set in the 1940s. Last month Kalank’s title track went public which had Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit and Varun Dhawan matching footsteps with each other.

In a recent interview, she opened up about the same and said,

“I dance in the film but not with Madhuri M’aam. Am I mad to dance with her?”

If you haven’t watched the song yet, watch it here:

When asked that whether both the dancers will match footsteps in the movie, she said,

“Fortunately not. To my good fortune, I don’t have to share the dance floor with Madhuri M’aam. But she’s standing and watching me while I dance. For me, that was a reason to be nervous enough…that she was watching me dance.”

She added,

“I’d keep pleading for her to sit in her vanity van. But of course, she had to be in the shots. So imagine, I had to dance in front of one of our finest dancers of all times,”

Sharing her experience in the capacity of a performer in Kalank, Alia told the portal that it was one of the most challenging films that she had done so far yet it was a fantastic experience.
