With an increase in the number of female producers and directors. The entertainment industry in India has seen a surge in entertainment material that is more female-oriented. In other words, entertainment material that throws light on issues that women irrespective of their age face in our society.

Sometime back Chhapaak, which was both produced (Deepika Padukone) and directed (Meghna Gulzar) by a female highlighted the issue of acid attack survivors in our country.

It is ironic to know that irrespective of the fact that males are given birth by a female and even than gender disparity is deeply rooted in our global society. If every mother teaches her children the importance of gender equality from day one of her motherhood, then this gender disparity will become an issue of the past in no time.
