Kailash Kher is a great Bollywood singer who was introduced to the industry after a very long time. He became successful in his carrer with the single ‘Teri Deewani’ after which he started bagging big projects slowly. Kailash Kher has now completed 15 years in the industry & when he looks back, he finds his inspiration.
We all know that success doesn’t come easily and the inspiration for Kher came at a cost – he has to face dejection and thoughts of considering suicide. The same happened to him when he came to Mumbai with dreams of becoming a singer, in the times of the pop culture & where singers like Sonu Sood and Shaan had already establishing a strong base in music.
Before he was recognized for ‘Teri Deewani’, Kher has to face rejection from every corner. While being interviewed by Times of India, he said that the dejection that he had to face even made him want to kill himself.
“When I came to Mumbai, I faced a lot of rejections. I was so dejected in life that I even tried to kill myself.
Ever since then, Kailash Kher followed a mantra, which is –
‘Jo toot kar bana, jise maut ne jana, wo aur kya toote, wo aur kya mare (No one can break a person who has become successful by thriving and surviving the consistent defeats).’
He further shared:
I had lost everything and had nothing else to lose and that is what inspired me.
A few days ago, Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam had stated that surviving in the industry is quite a difficult thing in their profession. He had alleged that while there is a mafia in acting, there is a bigger mafia in singing.
After the song ‘Teri Deewani’, Kailash Kher gained fame for songs like ‘Ya Rabba’, ‘Chaand Sifarish”, ‘Allah Ke Bande’ ‘Yun Hi Chala and ‘Arziyan’. He had also sung the song from ‘Baahubali’ ‘Kaun Hai Voh’.
