Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor who got a huge boost in his career with ‘Kabir Singh’, is all set to treat his fans with yet another Telugu remake. He will be seen in the Hindi version of the Telugu hit ‘Jersey’ in the coming future.
This Hindi version will be helmed by the director Gowtam Tinnanuri, who also directed the original Telugu version, which starred actor Nani. Kabir Singh was also directed by the director of its Original Telugu version.
A Repeat of History.
‘Jersey’ will be jointly produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, and Dil Raju. Well known Indian film critic cum trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on his Twitter handle. Taran also shared the box office debut date of ‘Jersey’.

Talking about ‘Jersey’ story, it tells the story of a father named Arjun (Nani), who is a talented but failed cricketer. He decides to return to cricket in his late thirties because of his desire to represent the Indian cricket team and ultimately fulfill his son’s wish of an Indian jersey as a gift. How Arjun makes it big despite being limited by his age forms the crux of the story.
The Telugu version of ‘Jersey’ received an overwhelming response from the audience and critics alike. And this prompted the filmmakers to go for its Hindi version, with an intention to cash in on its success on Hindi speaking box-office.
Talking about Shahid Kapoor, ‘Kabir Singh’ gave his career, such a big boost that he immediately increased his asking amount without attracting any negative effects.
Talking about Kabir Singh, it emerged as the biggest hit of 2019 despite the controversies surrounding it. A Hindi version of Vijay Deverakonda’s Telugu blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy’, ‘Kabir Singh’ also featured Kiara Advani as Shahid’s love that couldn’t materialize.
The Hindi version of ‘Jersey’ is slated to release on August 28, next year.
