Jhund: 5 Things You Couldn’t Spot In Amitabh Bachchan’s Film Teaser

Amitabh Bachchan recently released the trailer of his upcoming drama titled, Jhund. While he himself wasn’t present in the trailer, but despite that, it has left a strong impact on the audience. Whether it is Amitabh Bachchan’s voice over to the faceless cast walking away from the camera, everything about this trailer leaves you with infectious energy.

Jhund is based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer. It is the story of a professor trying to help street kids get a better life, and if you think a sport cannot help one do that, then this film will prove you wrong. Soccer not only gives these kids a new direction but also helps them in not getting themselves on the wrong side of the law.

Amitabh Bachchan Voice Over

Amitabh Bachchan begins the teaser with a request for the audience to not consider the people in the next scene as part of the crowd, he says ‘don’t call them jhund (crowd), call them a team.’

Amitabh Bachchan warns you not to judge them based on their appearance as they are sure to leave you with a dropped jaw by the end of the film.

Director- Nagraj Manjule

Nagraj Manjule shot to fame with his 2016 release, Sairat. Manjule has managed to bring regional Marathi films and stories to the forefront with great finesse. As most of the shoot has been done in Nagpur, so most of the cast is Maharashtrian.

Cinematographer- Sudhakar Reddy

Sudhakar Yakkanti Reddy has been a part of some big projects in the last 4 years comprising of Marathi, Hindi and South films. A major part of his experience comes from South films since 1999.

Music- Ajay-Atul

This teaser is the most infectious one, all thanks to the strong intro and Ajay-Atul’s music. The intense and freestyle music that makes you want to groove along is Duo’s speciality, and the song in the teaser gives you just the same.

With Amitabh Bachchan in the titular role, Jhund will also see Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru in pivotal roles. Helmed by Nagraj Manjule and co-produced under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment Pvt.Ltd and Aatpat Films, Jhund will hit theatres on May 8, 2020.
