‘Jabariya Jodi’ Trailer Promises a Laugh Riot

Jabariya Jodi Trailer, You Cannot Get A Hold Of Your Laugh Watching Parineeti Chopra Turn Into A Groom Kidnapper And Abducting Sidharth Malhotra. The much-awaited trailer for ‘Jabariya Jodi’ starring Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra is finally out!

The movie is inspired from real life incidents that happen in the heartland of India. This unique concept is unpopularly called by the name: Pakadwah Shaadi or groom kidnapping. The trailer begins with Sidharth being shown as a groom kidnapper and forcing the latter into a marriage against his wishes.

Sidharth could be seen speaking in a heavy accent speaking Patna Ki Hindi and also nails that perfect look of a tapori. On the other hand, Parineeti is playing the role of a girl whose marriage is fixed but eventually, she falls for groom kidnapper.

This quirky and funny trailer shows glimpses of Sidharth and Parineeti’s sizzling chemistry on silver screen after a long five years to both their fans. This would be their second project together after Hasee Toh Phasee that came back in the year 2014. The trailer also shows how Parineeti turns into a groom kidnapper and kidnaps Sidharth so that she can marry her. This trailer gives an insight into the comic side of the film.

Check out the trailer below:

While speaking to DNA After Hrs about both his character and the accent, Sidharth said,  “I am not speaking Bhojpuri or Maithili, it’s Patna ki Hindi. While doing that, I realized there is so much history in that state — many poets have come out from there, it’s culturally rich. I was familiar with that Hindi since I am from Delhi and we speak so much of the language at home. It is close to Bihar and UP where this kind of slang is spoken. I will explore this zone again as I am going back to my roots and playing a desi boy, which I haven’t done so far.”

Apart from Sidharth and Parineeti, other cast members of Jabariya Jodi includes Aparshakti Khurana, Sanjay Mishra, Javed Jaffrey, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Gopal Dutt and Neeraj Sood in pivotal roles. Helmed by Prashant Singh, it is a joint production of Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, and Shailesh R. Singh. And set to hit the silver screen on 2nd of the next month.
