Just one day after Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was cremated, filmmaker cum actor Farhan Akhtar wrote a heartwarming poem as a tribute to the late star wishing for peace to the departed soul. The 46-year-old actor took to his official Instagram account on Tuesday and penned,
“Sleep my brother sleep, let the vultures gather and the crocodiles weep, let the circus performers juggle, contort, bow and leap, let the shrill get higher let the darkness in the hearts of men get deep Sleep my brother Sleep, RIP Sushant.”
Sushant Singh Rajput was cremated this Monday at Vile Parle’s Pawan Hans crematorium after an ambulance carried his cadaver from Mumbai’s Cooper hospital to the cremation ground. Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Sharma gave a confirmation that owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, only a gathering of 20 people including his family was allowed by the police to attend the funeral.
The untimely demise of Sushant has sent shockwaves amongst celebrities and his fans alike. Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty who turned 68 this Tuesday said that he is no mood to celebrate his B’day i.e. June 16, both owing to the coronavirus pandemic and also because of the untimely demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput who died by suicide on Sunday at the age of 34.
Mithun’s son Namashi Chakraborty was quoted as saying,
“Given the current scenario of the COVID-19 pandemic and the untimely demise of our dear colleague Sushant, this year I and my father have decided to not celebrate on birthday and we urge people to stay safe and stay indoors as much as they can.”
