Emraan Hashmi-Rishi Kapoor Starrer: The Body Trailer Looks Promising

After the mysterious promo, the makers of Rishi Kapoor & Emraan Hashmi’s ‘The Body’ released the official trailer of the flick today. The Body is based on the Spanish thriller, ‘El Cuerpo’.

Emraan Hashmi tweeted the trailer and captioned it with the words,

“Death is not always the end. #TheBody Official Trailer out now! In Cinemas this December, Friday the 13th.” (sic).

Talking about its plot. The Body tells the story of a police officer who is in a search for a body gone missing from a morgue. Emraan Hashmi is playing the role of a professor & the director of a laboratory, run by his spouse Maya (Sobhita Dhulipala). Things turn dark when his wife is believed to be killed & her dead body goes missing from the morgue.

And adding to Emraan’s problems, he finds himself as the prime suspect in this murder case. Having a 1st look at the trailer, it seems that he was cheating on his wife with another woman played by Vedika. But there’s more than meets the eye & it’s up to a police officer (Rishi Kapoor) to decrypt this mystery.

‘The Body’ marks the Bollywood debut of Malayalam filmmaker Jeethu Joseph who in the past directed Mohanlal’s critically-acclaimed film, ‘Drishyam’. This Emraan Hashmi-Rishi Kapoor starrer is set to hit the box office on December 13, 2019.

Talking about Emraan Hashmi’s other projects, his OTT Netflix Series: Bard Of Blood that was bankrolled by Shah Rukh Khan was a project that got no attention and nobody knew when it came and went by.

And talking about his co-star Rishi Kapoor. He has just came back from abroad after getting his cancer treated. This whole procedure took almost 1 year and he was accompanied by his spouse cum veteran Bollywood actress: Neetu Kapoor. During their stay there they were visited by a lot of Bollywood celebs to get an update on his health.
