Emraan Hashmi Male Lead In Arth Remake:
Rumors that have strong base are doing the rounds that Jacqueline Fernandez and Swara Bhaskar will be acting in the remake of the 1982 film Arth. Back then it was helmed by Alia Bhatt’s father Mahesh Bhatt. It starred Smita Patil and Shabana Azmi as female leads and Kulbhushan Kharbanda in the male lead.
Mahesh Bhatt despite being a veteran, is still very much active in the film industry. Jacqueline Fernandez and Swara Bhaskar have very much secured their positions to play Smita and Shabana respectively. The hunt is on for the male lead who will be playing Kulbhushan Kharbanda in the remake.
And rumors suggest that Emraan Hashmi is that very person. If a PinkVilla report is to be believed, then the Murder actor has been approached to play the male lead in the remake of Arth, which will be helmed by south actress cum filmmaker Revathi.
A source that operates close to all these happenings shared,
“Emraan has been approached to play one of the male leads, possibly Kulbhushan Kharbanda’s role. The actor is pretty excited about the part, given that the original was tactfully and meticulously looked over by Bhatt himself. Emraan’s closeness with the Bhatt family is well known and Emraan obviously seems to be an obvious choice for the role.”
In the absence of any official confirmation coming from the filmmakers, the news is enough to make us hopeful! In the era when many old Bollywood films are being remade, such as Judwaa 2 and Coolie No 1. It would be a lot exciting to see a fresh version of much-loved yesteryear films.
Talking about Emraan Hashmi who began his career with Murder opposite Mallika Sherawat and was designated for quite a while with the Tag: The Kissing God, has worked hard on changing his image with an aim of being considered for roles in both content driven and family oriented films. And has pretty much succeeded too. But seems that his aura is such that it cannot be replaced in complete by anyone and adult content films come to him on own without any invitation.
