Salman Khan and Disha Patani starrer Bharat is just around the corner and the promotions for the movie is in top gear. Each of the statements made by the lead stars, then be it, Katrina Kaif, be it Salman or be it Disha, all of it is making headlines. The movie will take us through the journey of Bharat, the protagonist and the nation from the early 1940s to the present day. And so, Salman will also play a young version of himself in his 20s when he would be working in a circus with Disha as a trapeze artist. This is the first time that the duo is sharing the screen space.
In fact, one song from the movie, featuring these two, Slow Motion, has been loved by the fans and their chemistry too has left people asking for more. In spite of getting such a positive and vibrant response from the audience, she thinks she and Salman might never work together again. Wait, wait, before you jump to conclusions, the reason isn’t what you think.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Disha said,
“Ali sir called me with a role which is more of a special appearance. I heard him out and since the character is that of a trapeze artiste alongside Salman sir, I came on board. Honestly, I don’t know if I will ever get to work with Salman sir again. Even Ali sir told me this while narrating the script.”
Citing the reason behind this, she revealed,
“Obviously because of the age difference between us. In Bharat, it is acceptable because that portion shows Salman sir in his 20s and 30s so, it was an immediate “yes”. He is a wonderful human being and very hard-working. I got to learn a lot from him. That aside, Bharat is special because I had never done a film set in a different era.”
She further added that the response she received for hers and Salman’s chemistry is something she never expected and is lucky to have been loved by the audiences like this. She told,
“I am glad that people like to see us together. The chemistry between us is great, I never expected something like this. I got lucky with the song and want to thank the choreographer and Ali sir for the way it’s been shot,”
Earlier, in an interview, after ‘Slow Motion’ went viral, she spilled beans on how one has to mould as per Salman Khan’s dance moves. Patani said,
“You have to dance according to him (Salman). That’s how it is. You’ve to see what he’s doing and go according to what he is doing because he has this charm. He makes everything his own. That’s what you call ‘Salman Khan style’.”
Bharat releases on June 5, 2019. Ali Abbas Zafar directorial also stars Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Nora Fatehi, Jackie Shroff, Sonali Kulkarni. Did you like Disha and Salman’s on-screen chemistry? Would you like to see them working together again or not? Tell us all in the comments down below.
