Dhanush is one of the most prolific actors the South cinema has. He is not only an amazing actor but also an extraordinary filmmaker as well. It’s been 17 years, he is impressing every one of us with his incredible talent and performance as actor, singer, and filmmaker with movies like Kaadhal Kondein, Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Aadukalam 3, Maryan, Velaiilla Pattadhari, Anegan, Kodi to name some of them. He also went on to make his debut in Bollywood with Raanjhanaa, which was directed by Anand L. Rai and was released in 2013.
Now, the Maari actor has headed to Hollywood by making a debut in an Indo-French film named as ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir’, which is said to be based in the novel that is named as The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe by Romain Puertolas. The trailer of the film was released on Tuesday and his fans cannot stop gushing over Dhanush. Moreover, the Ranjhaanaa actor is also planning to make an official remake of the blockbuster ‘Andhadhun’, which came in 2018 and starred Ayushman Khurana.
While in a conversation with Mumbai Mirror, Dhanush confirmed the reports about Sriram Raghavan’s thriller drama film, he asserted,
“It’s a brilliant film and we have already started the process of acquiring the rights. It’s one of those thrillers which I wouldn’t mind remaking in Tamil.”
Also, Dhanush gave all of us a hint about reuniting with his Raanjhanaa director Aanand L. Rai after about seven full years. He was reported saying,
“We keep discussing a lot of ideas. I’ll definitely work with him again.”
He is also likely to make an official announcement about his next Bollywood film soon.
Meanwhile, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir is directed by Ken Scott and is slated to release on June 21, 2019.
