Ajay Devgn has future plans to make a two-part biopic on the life of legendary political guru, Chanakya also called Kautilya. Among all of the silver screen projects that include Ajay Devgn as the collaborator, there is a new one. He is now going to shake hands with ace filmmaker Neeraj Pandey. Pandey is the same person who directed M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story and Aiyaary in the past.
As mentioned above, this time, it is a biopic on the life of legendary political guru and a 4th Century BC scholar Chanakya. Chanakya redefined Indian political boundaries while Chandragupta began his rule and these boundaries were very much intact when India entered the modern era. This movie will also include Ajay in the cast.
Books written by Chanakya are still referred worldwide for diffusing diplomacy and political situations both in educational institutions and political arena. Sharing some details about the project during an interview with The Asian Age, he said that this project will be a two-part series and its script writing has begun, making Neeraj occupied with the same. He also shared that the movie will enter the production stage late this year.
He shared with the daily,
“This film will be made in two parts because we have a lot to say. Chanakya was way ahead of his time. Whatever is happening today, politically and otherwise, he has spoken it all at that time. He had a vast knowledge and we see whatever he had mentioned then, happening worldwide now,”
He also added,
“Director Neeraj is busy in scripting. I said it could be made in two parts, merely because summing up his life and history will not be possible in one part.”
When it comes to his other movies, he is having the time of his life. His movie Total Dhamaal made a bang at the box office this year, and De De Pyaar De too is also running successfully in theatres.
