Happy Birthday, Varun Dhawan! Bollywood Producer cum Father David Dhawan revealed plans for the day amidst the ongoing coronavirus lockdown.

During an interview, David Dhawan revealed his son cum Bollywood newbie: Varun Dhawan’s 33rd birthday plans.

It was Varun Dhawan’s birthday this Friday and the actor turned 33. Due to the ongoing nationwide coronavirus lockdown, the actor will be spending his birthday at home itself in the company of his family. Varun will also be conducting an Instagram live session later today to celebrate his birthday talking to his millions of fans online. If there was no lockdown, then it would have been a double celebration for Varun as his upcoming film Coolie No 1 was slated for a box office release on May 1st, 2020.

Coolie No.1 original version featuring Govinda and Karishma Kapoor as the lead couple was a David Dhawan job. In this new version, the lead couple will be played by Varun and Sara Ali Khan.

Now during a F2F with Mid Day, Varun’s father and filmmaker David Dhawan were asked to reveal the birthday plans of the actor. David revealed,

“It will be a quiet family affair. Over the past few weeks, Varun has been with us and has been taking care of Lali and me. He is especially concerned about me as I am diabetic.”

On the other hand, a source told Mumbai Mirror,

“Varun will be giving money and food to daily wage workers, making the day special for them as well.”

There were rumors doing rounds that Varun might get engaged to his longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal, however, things didn’t go as reported plans. Talking about it, a source told Mid Day,

“The family had considered formally announcing Varun’s engagement to long-time girlfriend Natasha Dalal on the occasion. However, given the current scenario, they have decided to do it at an appropriate time.”

Varun’s movies are not the only ones awaiting their box office release. Film industries worldwide are facing the same situation.
