A complaint has been filed against actress Kangana Ranaut in Belagavi district of North Karnataka. Belagavi lawyer Harsh Vardhan Patil filed a complaint accusing Kangana Ranaut of tweeting that she called the agitating farmers terrorists. In such a situation, Kangana is accused of trying to create animosity among the community.
Believing the news, Belagavi Police Commissioner K Thiagarajan confirmed this news and said that a complaint has been lodged. However, no FIR has been filed yet. The commissioner said that we will take further action based on the complaint.
Kangana Ranaut tweeted on September 21 last year. It wrote, “People spread misinformation and rumors about CAA, which caused riots and now the same people are spreading misinformation about the farmers bill and creating terror in the country, they are terrorists.”
On October 10, 2020, a court in Karnataka ordered the police to file a case against Kangana Ranaut for tweeting on farmers opposing agricultural laws. This order was issued by the court after advocate Ramesh Naik made a personal complaint.
Now coming to the workfront, Kangana Ranaut is busy shooting for the film ‘Dhaakad’ these days. Apart from this, Kangana’s name is also associated with the film ‘Tejas’ in which she will be seen as a female Air Force pilot. Sometime back, Kangana Ranaut also announced the release of her film ‘Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi’ in 2019 as a franchise in which she will bring her next film ‘Manikarnika Returns – The Legend of Didda’.
Recently Ranaut had reacted to the international popstar Rihanna’s tweet who condemned the internet shutdown in parts of India which was due to the measure applied by the Union government in order to cripple the ongoing farmers protest on the outskirts of Delhi against the Central government’s agricultural laws.
