The inaugural 100 Most Influential Digital Stars list which highlights 100 singers, bands, and film and TV stars has been launched by Forbes Asia. It includes celebs from across the Asia-Pacific region who have taken the digital world by storm.
Those who have made to its list are — Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit. Singers Shreya Ghoshal and Neha Kakkar have also made it to the list.
These celebs have powerful social media presence and have garnered millions of followers across popular platforms which has made them as famous online as they are on stage & screen.
Special focus has been given to celebrities who, despite cancelled physical events and activities have managed to remain active and relevant & inclusive and those who have largely by using social media, interacted with their fans, raised awareness and inspired optimism by Forbes Asia.
Many of the celebs had used their influence to help worthy causes, especially those with a COVID-19 focus. Amitabh Bachchan has been credited for raising USD 7 million. Akshay Kumar also got a mention for donating USD 4 million.
Apart from them, the K-pop boy band BTS has also got a mention in the list. The girl band ‘BlackPink’, whose fans have constantly battled it out on social media with the BTS ARMY, have also got a mention in the list. ‘Exo’ also made it to list. Ruby Rose also got mentioned as one of the names in the list. ‘Wolverine’ Hugh Jackman, ‘Thor’ Chris Hemsworth, ‘Quinn’ Margot Robbie have also made it to the Forbes’ list.
