Once Upon A Time In Mumbai

Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai is a Bollywood crime drama film directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor which was released in the year 2010. The film features Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Prachi Desai and Randeep  Hooda in the lead roles. The film revolves around the gangsters of Mumbai underworld and was based on the real-life stories Dawood Ibrahim and also Haji Mastan. The story, dialogues and the characters of the film like Sultan Mirza (Ajay Devgn), Shoaib Khan (Emraan Hashmi) and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Randeep Hooda) were totally amazing which makes the movie worth watching. The film went on to be successful at the Box office and received a positive response from the audiences and the critics.

Special 26

Special 26 is a Bollywood thriller film directed by Neeraj Pandey and was produced by Shital Bhatia which was released in the year 2013. The movie features Akshay Kumar in the lead role and, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, Kajal Aggarwal, Jimmy Shergill and Divya Dutta in supporting roles. The movie is based on a team of fake CBI officers who move to different parts of the country and conduct raids on powerful and corrupt businessmen and ministers. The movie was commercially successful and was stated as one of the best movies of 2013. The movie received a great response from the audiences and the critics.

2 States

2 States is a Bollywood romantic drama film directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala which was released in the year 2009. The film revolves around Krish (Arjun Kapoor) and Ananya (Alia Bhatt) who come from different cultural backgrounds and want to marry each other but after they convince their families. So the movie shows how they both convince their families with so many hurdles in between to complete their love story. The movie turned out to be highly successful at the box office and received a great response from the audiences and the critics. The movie reveals the real-life story of the famous Indian author, Chetan Bhagat.

Sarbjit

Sarbjit is a Bollywood drama biography of a farmer who lived in Bhikiwind, Punjab, near the Indo-Pak border and who crosses the border after he gets drunk. The movie shows how he was treated in Pakistan as he was misinterpreted as an Indian spy. The movie shows the real struggle of Sarbjit (Randeep Hooda) and also of her sister Dalbir Kaur (Aishwarya Rai) who was continuously fighting to get her brother back to the country. The acting of both Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai was just commendable and was totally loved by the critics. The look of Aishwarya Rai in this movie is damn superb and captivating that you just can’t get over her acting after watching the amount of energy she has utilized in her role. Randeep Hooda on the other side was extremely appreciated by the critics and audiences for the look he prepared and the amount of weight he lost just to look perfect for his role in the movie.

Airlift

Akshay Kumar inaugurated the year with his really amazing movie called ‘Airlift which was directed by Raja Krishna Menon. Akshay Kumar acted as Ranjit Katyal, a Kuwait based businessman, as he carries out the mission of evacuating the Indians who were based in Kuwait during the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq. Akshay Kumar completely fits in the role and touched the hearts of the people with his really pleasing and breathtaking performance.

Neerja

In the love month of February 2016,  Neerja was made by Ram Madhvani where Sonam Kapoor played the role of the brave 22-year-old air hostess of Pan Am flight 73, which was hijacked by terrorists in the month of September in 1986. Neerja Bhanot by sacrificing her life saved the lives of 359 passengers in the aircraft. It was a great historical story and Sonam Kapoor did a brilliant acting and was truly appreciated by the audience.

M.S. Dhoni

In the month of September 2016 came one of the most captivating movie, ’MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’. Due to the high popularity of the cricketing star of the country the craze of the film was totally justified. Sushant Singh Rajput took the audience back to the glorious victory of the Indian cricket team in the 2011 world cup. His acting was completely top notch and as if no other could be a better Mahendra Singh Dhoni than him. His look in the movie was totally appreciated and loved by the audiences.

Dangal

With the much-awaited movie ‘Dangal’of the superstar Aamir Khan, the year 2016 came to almost an end with a blast. The movie was wrestling based and was directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The movie is based on the Phogat family which lived in Haryana, telling the story of Mahavir Singh Phogat, an amateur wrestler who trains his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat to make them India’s great female wrestlers who could fight his dream of winning a gold medal for the country. The film is really inspiring and got great reviews from the critics and the audiences. The movie was considered as the best film of the year and such movies are really a great contribution to the Bollywood industry.

Chak De India

Chak De India is a Bollywood drama film directed by Shimit Amin and produced by Aditya Chopra. The movie revolves around a former hockey player Kabir Khan who was declared disloyal to his country when he could not score a goal in a final tournament against Pakistan and ended losing up the match where India won silver instead of gold. To prove his loyalty to the country he decides to train the national hockey women’s team and claims to get a gold in the world championship for the country. The movie turned out to be very inspirational and highlighted the struggle of the coach and the team as well. Besides the struggle, they still work harder and ended up achieving a gold for the country. The performance of Shah Rukh Khan as a coach was completely loved by the audience.

Veer Zaara

Veer Zara is a Bollywood drama romance film which was directed and co-produced by Yash Chopra with his son Aditya Chopra. The movie features Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta in the lead roles. It was one of the best love stories which were of an Indian Airforce Pilot and a Pakistani girl Zaara. Veer (Shahrukh Khan) and Zaara (Preity Zinta) were shown to be struggling without each other as the boundaries of the two countries made their love story a difficult one. Eventually there turns out to be a happy ending and the movie was really appreciated by the critics and the audiences.
