The Corona Virus Outbreak has shaken every part of the world. Declared Pandemic by the WHO, this disaster has lead to shutdowns of cities & countries. It has obviously businesses, schools, restaurants, movie halls & also Bollywood. While the cinema’s halls are closed, various movie shoots have also been canceled. Just like us, even the stars are self-quarantined in Mumbai.
The following movies have been hit the most with respect to both releases & shoots.
Laal Singh Chaddha
Bollywood adaption of the famous Forest Gump which will star Aamir Khan & Kareena Kapoor. But actor Aamir Khan himself has canceled the next shoot. Because the filming was taking place on real locations that had crowd.
The film starring Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif & Ranveer Singh has been delayed. Scheduled to release on 24th Mar’20 will now look for a later date.
However, Irrfan Khan & Kareena Kapoor’s film went ahead amid the COVID19 outbreak. But on the theatres getting closed following the order from authorities, The movie will be re-released when the situation gets better.
SIR, starring Tillotama Shome was set to be released on 20th Mar’20. But keeping in view of public safety & advisory of Health Ministry, the date has now been pushed further.
The movie most badly affected by the outbreak is Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 3. It released on March 6 and in a week all the theatres got shut down. Its box office collection has been slowed down & will not be as successful as it prequels.
A sports movie starring Shahid Kapoor & Mrunal Thakur inspired from a Telugu film. It was currently in the making but the shoot has now been called off.
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar
A black-comedy starring Arjun Kapoor & Parineeti Chopra. Set to be released on 20th March this year, it’s now been postponed.
While these Bollywood films are affected & getting canceled or postponed. Other filmmakers are jumping into opportunities to make a movie on the Corona Virus. Reportedly, a production house has registered the title Corona Pyaar Hai. Well, every Bollywood fan knows where that comes from! (Kaho naa pyaar hai).
