It takes a lot of hard work to make a film, and even harder is required to convince everyone to watch it. Over the years, Bollywood has tried to showcase various controversial events through their movies. Do you remember how some states were ready to ban the film Padmavat? Even if the movie is pure fiction based, because of some reason these Bollywood movies are not released in certain parts of the country. Let us find which all movies did not release in certain parts of our country. 

 1. Fanna 

 If you have seen this movie then probably you’d agree that it was certainly one of the best Nollywood movies ever. From songs to breathtaking scenes, these movies had romance, drama, action, and suspense. You will be shocked to know that this movie didn’t release in Gujarat because Aamir Khan made statements against the then-government of Gujarat. 

 2. Aarakshan 

 Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, and Deepika Padukone starrer Aarakshan revolve around the sensitive topic of reservation and quota system. The movie was banned by Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh starting that it could create law and order problems in the state. However, the ban was later revoked. 

 3. Jodhaa Akbar 

The magical love story of Jodha and Akbar was not accepted by the Rajput community and Karni Sena. The movie as banned in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. However, the Supreme court lifted the ban later on. 

 4. Madras Café 

 Shoojit Sircar’s Madras Café is one of the most brilliant movies that you cannot miss at any cost. This John Abraham starrer Madras café is based on the Sri Lankan war and was not released in Tamil Nadu as there were many protests against it. 

 5. Firaaq
