Bollywood Debuts in 2018:
The year 2018 saw an introduction of a bunch of young stars into Bollywood. Several star kids from Ishaan Khattar and Ayush Sharma to Jhanvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan tried to prove themselves on the big screen. But with these star kids, there were many more popular faces from other industries like Radhika Madan and Mouni Roy from the Television, Dulqeer Salmaan from the South Cinema and more who took a step inside our Bollywood industry. Here is the list of 5 members of the industry and how they performed their debut.
Dulqer Salmaan is a Malayalam film star, who has given many Malayalam films likeBanglore Days, Kammatti Paadam etc. has made his debut in Bollywood with the film Karawaan, which was basically an Irfan Khan film and the actor performed at the top of his capabilities.
This was a moody road trip film and proved as the perfect launch for Dulqeer who gave an understated performance but won the hearts. Another actor who entered into Hindi film industry with this film was Mithila Palkar, who is popular for her brilliant performance in web series such as Little Things. Her character was full of life and more cheerful than her two other co-stars.
Jhanvi Kapoor made her debut in Bollywood with the film Dhadak, and when the film was about to release in a few months, her mother late actor Sridevi, died in Dubai. So, she made her debut in Bollywood in bittersweet situations. This star kid has a special connect with her audience. people just not waited for her talent and performance but also expected to look for some traces of her mother.
The movie buffs could not just resist from her accurate accent in the trailer itself, with her fresh face and slight traces of her late mother Sridevi she has it all. And all this was enough to pull them to the theatres. Her film Dhadak hit the box office with the lifetime collections of over INR 70 crore.
Ishaan Khatter has only been praised and appreciated in his journey. He was well accepted by the moviegoers because of his talent. Ishaan Khatter, the son of Neelima Azeem and younger brother of Shahid Kapoor made his debut with Beyond The Clouds by Majid Majidi and his commercial debut was Dhadak opoposite to debutant Jhanvi Kapoor. He impressed the audience and the critics with his performance in both of the projects.
Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan, who is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, made a fabulous debut with Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, which was directed by Abhishek Kapoor. She was not only praised for her performance but she was also appreciated for her screen presence and confidence. She just forced all of us to remember her mother Amrita Singh, as her looks and her nuances just resembled her.
Her debut filmKedarnathh got mixed reviews from the critics but performed well at the box office, grossing over INR 50 crore in 10 days. Now, she is all ready to set fire on the screens with her next upcoming film Simmba against Ranveer Singh.
Mouni Roy is the most popular actor in the Television industry and we really didn’t got surprised seeing her on the big screen. The actor Mouni Roy had won many awards and hearts with her performance and personality on the small screen. She entered bollywood with her debut film Gold opposite to Akshay Kumar, which just tugged at the hearts of the movie buffs. The film was based on patriotism and got released on Independence Day. Critics called her the “right mixture of crotchety and charming” as she won hearts with her typical Bengali accent that came handy for the role.
