Bollywood Clashes 2019:
We all as an audience witness many clashes in Bollywood. The movie makers always try to avoid clashes with any movie in order to reduce competition. There were many movies that were ready to clash but didn’t. Some of them are mentioned below:
- Padmavat v/s Padman v/s Aiyaary
- Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety v/s Pari
- Parmanu – The Pokhran Story v/s Hichki
- Hate Story 4 v/s Drive
- Fanney Khan v/s Race 3
- Piku v/s Sui Dhaaga – Made In India
- Haathi Mere Saathi v/s Thugs of Hindustan
- Namaste England v/s Total Dhamaal
- Zero v/s Kedarnath
- De De Pyaar De v/s Junglee
Couldn’t believe? But this is true, these 10 Bollywood movies were expected to clash in the year 2018. Though the official announcements were made and everything was final, but never happened. Fortuitously, there were many more notable clashes that apparently happened, and took everyone by surprise. Some of them are mentioned below:
- Satyamev Javate v/s Gold
- Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se v/s Stree
- Bhavesh Joshi Superhero v/s Veere Di Wedding
- Loveyatri v/s Andhadhun
- Namaste England v/s Badhaai Ho
- Fanney Khan v/s Karwan v/s Mulk
- KGF v/s Zero
Expect the Gold v/s Satyamev Jayate clash, which was also closely battled, a majority of the clashes turned out to be one-sided, with the second mentioned movie appearing as a major win. And with the Fanney Khan v/s Karwaan v/s Mulk, the two latter movies did almost equal business. While in the case of KGF v/s Zero, both the films gave a neck to neck competition to each other for the five days, but from the sixth day, KGF began to expand its forefront by a major difference and apparently appeared to be a far bigger grossing.
Nevertheless, this list has been penned down all over again for the 2019 and likely, most of the mentioned clashes are expected to ward off.
1. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi v/s Cheat India v/s Thackeray (25th January 2019)
This might be for the first time over years, that the releasing date of all the three films that are clashing has been confirmed by their makers and also the promos have been launched. Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ is a labor of love and would be a masterstroke while the release date is also chosen due to its patriotic flavor. Emraan Hashmi’s Why Cheat India is also in the talks because of its element of corruption rampant and scandals in India. In the case of Thackeray, it’s makers have already started their campaign and promotions with a bang.
2. Luka Chuppi v/s Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar (1st March 2019)
This might be the first time that two romantic comedy movies are ready to clash as first time jodi – Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aryan is all ready to compete with Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra – the jodi that impressed everyone with Ishaqzaade but failed in Namaste England. We all are really excited to see how the clash between the two ends up at the theaters.
3. Mission Mangal v/s Batla House (15th August 2019)
Is history repeating itself in 2019? Like Gold and Satyamev Jayate clashed in 2018, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham are ready to compete with each other all over again. The interesting fact about this clash is that both the movies have a strong flavor of patriotism as Mission Mangal is about India’s journey into space while Battle House is about a real-life police encounter situation that resulted in the killing of a terrorist with a police officer. Makers of both films have selected an ideal date for the release. This is one clash that might not be ward off.
